About

Season Master Services started in the summer of 2011. Yes, that year. The hottest summer in Wichita Falls since 1980. Wichita Falls had 100 straight days over 100 degrees. It was brutal, but a great year to start an air conditioning business. After 10 years of working for his father, Tony Smith went out on his own with the help of his wife Jordan and started Season Master out of their home on Seymour Road. The name was decided as basically an homage to his father Mark A. Smith. Mark had been in the industry since 1976 and had in addition to a contracting firm, an equipment leasing company in the mid 80’s called Seasonmaster Equipment Leasing Inc. Being rather nostalgic, Tony liked the name and thought it would fit well.

Taking a different path than heavy commercial new construction and retrofits like his father’s business, Tony focused more locally. Residential sales, service and new construction would be the primary role of SMS. After a year on his own, Tony had earned a trusting customer base of homeowners, rental property owners and home builders. For Tony, Jordan and a couple of helpers, business was good.

In late 2014 Tony was called back to his father’s business by his little brother Aaron. Mark had started declining in health and Aaron needed help with the day to day operations. Aaron, a 2010 graduate of Midwestern State University’s McCoy School of Engineering had been working for Mark since 2003. In February of 2017 Tony and Aaron’s father Mark passed away and left them wanting a fresh start in the business together. In January of 2018 Tony and Aaron formed JAT Industries, LLC. JAT would acquire Season Master and start a new chapter in its history.

With Tony and Aaron as partners, they asked good friend and colleague Timothy Smith, Master Plumber to join Season Master and add plumbing to the SMS profile. Since then SMS has completed commercial projects for Paint Creek ISD, City View ISD, Harrold ISD, Holliday ISD, TXDOT facility in Henrietta, Jacksboro Parish, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Vernon Chrysler and more. Along
with residential new construction for Lance Friday Homes, Cornerstone Construction, Deeb Custom Homes, Marchand Custom Homes, Harmon and Holcomb Homes, Rolling Plains Management and others. Focusing on close working relationships with customers and quality work the business has grown to 15 employees working out of 10 service vehicles on projects as far away as Bronte, Texas. Always eager to take on the complicated, interesting and out of the box projects, Season Master Services has proven to be a staple in the industry across north west Texas.

Anthony (Tony) Dale Smith

President TACLA40114C
Tony Smith started in the mechanical and plumbing industry in 2001. His father Mark A. Smith had started Autumn Air Sales and Service in 2000 and had recently bought Service Experts from Lennox Industries, Plumbing by Lynn Postelwait and by the request of his good friend, acquired the phone number to Stanley Ray Air Conditioning. Tony had been working for the Foley family at City Concrete Inc. when Mark called and asked him to come work with him. Mark’s quickly expanding business would become the beginning to Tony’s life long career in the trades. Stanley Ray, an HVAC contractor as well as a retired 36 year veteran of the Wichita Falls Fire Department had always encouraged Tony to apply for the Fire Department. In August of 2003 Tony started the 50 th fire training academy with the Wichita Falls Fire Department just two months before Stanley lost his battle with lung cancer. “Bleeding and blowing snot” – Stanley Ray. After graduating the fire academy and being stationed at fire station #2, Tony got back to working on and installing air conditioning systems for his Dad. In July of 2004 Tony married Jordan Melissa Hines. After 10 years with Mark, Tony was ready to work for himself. Mark’s business was mainly heavy commercial work stretching all over Texas and Oklahoma. Juggling the fire department’s work schedule and constant out of town jobs it was time to work more locally. In early 2011 Tony became a Class A license holder with the State of Texas in Environmental Air Conditioning and Process Cooling / Refrigeration. Tony along with his wife, Jordan started Season Master Services out of their home in the summer of 2011. In Januray 2018 Tony partnered with his brother Aaron to form JAT Industries, LLC which acquired Season Master Services. Tony and Jordan have two daughters, Sydney and Dottie.

Aaron Kyle Smith

Vice President TACLA93637E
Aaron started in the mechanical and plumbing industry in 2003, working for his father Mark A. Smith. During his time as a residential and commercial installer, Aaron was working on his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Midwestern State University. Aaron graduated from MSU in 2010 and became the lead estimator for commercial projects for Autumn Air Sales and Service. Aaron has successfully bid and completed many multi-million dollar projects including Holliday ISD, Red River Hospital, Eastland Memorial Hospital, Glasscock ISD, Sterling ISD, Palestine ISD and more. After 15 years of working for Autumn Air, Aaron was eager to get out on his own. In 2018 Aaron partnered with his brother, Tony to form JAT Industries, LLC which acquired Season Master Services. Aaron’s vast knowledge of commercial construction, contracts and logistics gives Season Master a very competitive edge in the commercial industry. Aaron is a Class A license holder with the state of Texas in Environmental Air Conditioning. Aaron has two children, Gage and Abby.

Timothy Wayne Smith

Responsible Master Plumber M-39818
Tim started in the mechanical and plumbing industry in 2003. Working for Autumn Air Sales and Service he quickly earned his Journeyman license in 2007 and his Master license in 2011. Believe it or not, Tim is not related to Tony and Aaron but keeps a close brotherly relationship with both. Tim is a “Don’t tempt me with a good time” kind of guy. There is no job too big or small. Tim has successfully bid and completed many massive plumbing projects all over Texas and Oklahoma including Devon Energy, Eastland Memorial Hospital, Fort Sill, Red River Hospital, Holiday ISD, Paint Creek ISD, Harrold ISD and many more. Tim’s knowledge and easy-going attitude makes him a great asset to Season Master.

Douglas Earl Hansard

Lead Service Technician
Doug is a jack of all trades master of most. Doug has been in the mechanical contracting industry since 1988. During the 80’s and 90’s Doug managed the heating and air conditioning for many of downtown Dallas’ high rise structures, including personally over seeing the late H. Ross Perot’s offices and art galleries. During this time his knowledge of building control systems, chilled water cooling and boiler heating systems became unmatched by many other’s in the area at that time. Wanting to get back home to Clay County, Texas, Doug started his own HVAC business in the 90’s and started working with the principals of Season Master in 2009. Doug’s endless knowledge of all types of environmental and process cooling systems has made him an intricate part of SMS.

Arthur “Sam” Wilkes

Commercial project foreman
Sam has worked with the principals of SMS since 2006. Coming from a mechanical and plumbing background working for PALCO mechanical, Sam quickly became a lead hand on most projects. Sam is a “no complaints” guy, he has a very quiet demeanor that projects a very positive role model for his co- workers. Sam has completed many mechanical projects all over Texas and Oklahoma. Some of his largest accomplishments have been Red River Hospital, Glasscock ISD, Sterling ISD, Holliday ISD, Paint Creek ISD and most recently TXDOT Henrietta Maintenance facility. Sam’s ability to oversee projects, lead his co-workers and maintain tight construction schedules has made him a very valuable part of SMS.
